Summer Classes

  • Total cost for Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Ballet: $60 or $20 per class
  • Total cost for Pre-K per 1 class: $10

Contemporary with Tatyana 5:15-6:15pm (1 hour) – Learn the specifics of Contemporary. Manipulation of the torso, floor work, fluid movement, articulations, etc. Dancers will warm-up, move across the floor, learn a combo, improv, and end with a cool down.

  • July 7th: Intermediate (ages 9-12)
  • July 8th: Advanced (ages 13-18)

Jazz with Tatyana and Tailyn 6:15-7:15pm (1 hour) – Learn the specifics of modern-day Jazz. Sharp movement, intricate movement, turns, leg extensions, etc. Dancers will warm up, work on skills in center, move across the floor, learn a combo, and end with a cool down.

  • July 7th: Intermediate (ages 9-12)
  • July 8th: Advanced (ages 13-18)

Hip Hop with Tailyn 5:15-6:15pm (1 hour) – Learn the specifics of Hip Hop. Incline torso, bent knees, rocks, grooves, improvisation, articulations, etc. Dancers will warm up, work on skills in center, musicality training, learn a combo, and end with a cool down.

  • July 9th: Intermediate (ages 9-12)
  • July 10th: Advanced (ages 13-18)

Ballet with Kate 6:15-7:15 (1 hour) – Learn the specifics of Classical/Cecchetti Ballet. Dancers will begin with barre, work on skills in center, move across the floor, and end with a cool down. Dancers will be introduced to ballet vocabulary and the history of ballet.

  • July 9th: Intermediate (ages 9-12)
  • July 10th: Advanced (ages 13-18)

Pre-K with Tatyana 4:30-5:15pm (45 minutes) – Dancers will be introduced to entry-level movement. Dancers will warm up, learn basic techniques and terminology, and end with a game related to the movement learned in class. This is a way for preschool dancers to express themselves and have fun!

Beginner Jazz and Ballet with Tatyana and/or Kate 4:30-5:15 (45 minutes) – Dancers will be introduced to entry-level jazz and ballet movement. Dancers will warm up, move across the floor, and learn combos from the skills learned in class.

Class Descriptions

Contemporary: Learn the foundations of contemporary dance. Movement of the torso, floor work, fluid movement, articulations, etc.
DRESS CODE: moveable clothing with socks or bare feet. 

Hip Hop: Learn the foundations of hip hop. Inclined torso, bent knees, articulations, rocks, grooves, improvisation, etc.
DRESS CODE: baggy, moveable clothing with tennis shoes.

Jazz: Learn the foundations of modern-day jazz. Sharp movement, intricate movement, turns, leg extensions, etc.
DRESS CODE: moveable clothing with socks or bare feet. 

Ballet: Learn the foundations of Classical/Cecchetti ballet. Slowly build up a technique foundation. Once this has been obtained, dancers will then be introduced to harder movements and faster styles such as Balanchine/neoclassical and romantic.
DRESS CODE: dance tights, leotard, canvas ballet shoes, ballet skirt or shorts. Warms up are welcoming at the beginning of class. 

Lyrical: Learn the specifics of Lyrical dance – which is the fusion of other dance styles combining into one. At Synergy Dance Project, Lyrical is a way for students to encourage audience members through performing a piece that worships the Lord.

Pre-K: Dancers will be introduced to entry-level movement. Dancers will warm up, learn basic techniques and terminology, and learn two dances incorporating the movement learned throughout the dance season. This is a way for preschool dancers to express themselves and have fun!
DRESS CODE: dance tights, leotard, ballet shoes or moveable clothing.

Strength and Conditioning:

Private lessons: Catering to the student’s needs, whether that be: solo choreography lesson, makeup class, strength and conditioning, etc.
